The Red Pyramid (The First true pyramid)
The Red Pyramid is the first True Pyramid to be built, and is located in Dahsur north from the Bent pyramid. This was the third attempt to making a smooth-sided pyramid in 2600 B.C.. The pyramid stands three hundred forty-one feet. Snefru may have been buried there, and his son, Pharaoh Knufu finished the construction. The pyramid was stripped from limestone casing to make it have a reddish color. Underground there was two chambers and a passage. The Eygption name for this pyramid is "The Shining One" when it was finally finished.
