Step Pyramid
The Step pyramid was built by Pharaoh Djoser, the third king of Egypt's third dynasty, in circa 2630 B.C.. It is located in Saqqara. At the height of two hundred four feet it was the largest building of it's time. It is made out of stone that is carved to look like wood, reeds and other softer materials. It's complex was enclosed by a thirty-foot wall, and other 40 acres of the Pyramid also included courtyards, temples and chapels. The Step Pyramid also has burial chambers underground with hidden tunnels that would confuse grave robbers, so they would leave. In one of those chambers was Pharaoh Djoser, mummified, like he was intended to be, since the begining of this pyramid. Then, many years after the making, the tunnels and chambers caved in and were destroyed. All that was left was Pharaoh Djoser, the builder, in his mummified body.
